“Female biology should be treated as knowledge – not as noise.”
— Healthcare Denmark, Women’s Health in Denmark
Recently, Healthcare Denmark launched the publication “Women’s Health in Denmark,” highlighting the need for stronger attention and action on women’s health across government, academia, civil society and industry.
According to analyses, women’s health remains significantly under-researched and underfunded globally. Increasing our understanding of women’s biology and health needs is essential to improving care, strengthening health systems and ensuring better outcomes for women throughout all phases of life.
At Wavecare, we are proud to be mentioned in the publication. Through our sensory delivery rooms, we contribute to creating calming, supportive birth environments that improve the experience for women and their families.
Research shows that calming, sensory-supportive environments can lower anxiety, reduce the risk of emergency caesarean sections and contribute to safer and more positive birth outcomes.
Advancing women’s health is not only about addressing gaps in care. It is also about improving wellbeing, supporting families and strengthening societies. Progress requires collaboration across sectors and borders — and Denmark has strong opportunities to contribute through research, innovation and partnerships.
At Wavecare, we support the growing international focus on women’s health and the continued efforts to improve care, knowledge and experiences for women.
