On October 16 and 17, Sweden’s eldercare community gathers at Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö for two days of inspiration, knowledge and collaboration. Äldreomsorgsdagarna is Sweden’s leading event for professionals and decision-makers in eldercare. It is the place where the future of care takes shape.
This year’s themes highlight the new Social Services Act, future care models and how to create workplaces where both residents and staff thrive and want to stay.
At Wavecare, we work every day to support that mission. Our sensory technology combines nature imagery, music and light to create calm, safety and presence in care environments. The technology is used across hospitals, nursing homes and dementia care units in both Denmark and Sweden. Experience shows a reduction in agitation, improved well-being and stronger working environments.
In Sweden, our first installation took place at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna in 2024. The hospital became the first in the country to introduce Wavecare’s technology in a delivery room. Midwives and parents describe how the sensory atmosphere with gentle light, calming sound and nature scenes supports relaxation and creates a more positive birthing experience.
The experience from Eskilstuna demonstrates how sensory technology can be a valuable supplement in care and treatment. It provides a non-pharmacological tool that supports both well-being and working conditions.
At Äldreomsorgsdagarna 2025, we invite you to visit booth 55 and experience how sensory stimulation can be used as a practical tool for calm, recovery and improved interaction in eldercare.
We look forward to meeting colleagues, sharing experiences and inspiring new ways to create calm, presence and quality of life in eldercare.
