Psychiatry Region Syddanmark 2016

As part of the initiative ‘Light in Psychiatry, the Psychiatric Department Kolding-Vejle, Psychiatry in Southern Denmark, has developed and tested a lighting and interior design concept aimed at optimizing electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) treatment. A qualitative evaluation shows that patients perceive the environment as calming, and staff are satisfied. There is documented evidence of a tendency toward shorter treatment courses.
