At Klarahus Nursing Home, located in the heart of De Gamles By in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, sensory stimulation is already an integrated part of everyday life.🌿

With a sensory garden, green surroundings, trickling water, and local wildlife just outside the door, Klarahus works to create calm, presence, and a sense of safety for its residents.

Now, the care home has expanded its sensory offering with the Wavecare Mobile System, where light, sound, and nature scenes create a secluded indoor oasis that can help reduce restlessness and support the residents’ wellbeing in daily life.
The mobile sensory solution makes it possible to offer sensory-stimulating breaks wherever the need arises, whether in communal areas or private rooms, in group settings or during individual care routines.

The system is now fully in use following a successful test period that provided valuable experience.
We visited to give an introduction to how the system works, and it was clear that it was very well received.
It was wonderful to witness the enthusiasm of the staff and see how quickly they had already embraced the system.
The initiative aligns with Klarahus’ core values and vision, which are based on the City of Copenhagen’s elderly care policy: that every resident should have the freedom to live the life they choose.
